How to play Fivefold

Find the daily five-letter word in six guesses or fewer. Enter any valid five-letter word, then press Enter to reveal your clues.

• Green means the letter is correct and in the correct position.
• Gold means the letter appears in the answer but belongs in another position.
• Gray means the letter does not appear in the answer, or all copies of that letter have already been matched.

Duplicate letters

Each letter in the answer can be matched only once. If your guess contains more copies than the answer, the extra copies are gray.

Daily reset and statistics

A new puzzle becomes available at midnight according to your device’s local calendar. The open game checks the date when you return to the tab and refreshes automatically at midnight. Progress is saved on your device; signing in also records completed results for the leaderboard.
